Free Kyle?

Free Kyle Rittenhouse?

What we know so far.

17 year old Kyle was there with other armed individuals protecting property.

He was seen giving aid to protesters who had been sprayed with teargas.

He was seen handing our water to the police.

The first man killed was seen taunting the armed men. A short time later he was seen chasing Kyle and throwing a bag full of something at him as they go behind cars and shot/s are heard. Rather than leaving Kyle comes back to check on the man and is seen calling someone. Who? We don’t know at this time.

Kyle is then seen being chased by a group of men. He falls or is tripped. While on the ground the second man to be shot hits Kyle in the head with a skateboard. As he is rolling over he shoots this man in the chest.

Another man with a pistol pointing in Kyle’s direction at close range gets shot in the upper arm.

Kyle gets to his feet and is then seen approaching the police with his hands in the air. They let him pass. The next day he is arrested at his home.

He has been charged with 1st degree murder. The evidence doesn’t support that in any way. This was self defense in all three instances.

It can be argued that he shouldn’t have been there in the first place but I don’t see how that plays into the charges.

Some have made an issue that he was from out of state. I don’t see that as an issue because his home Antioch Township Illinois and Kenosha WI are boarder towns about 20 miles or 35 minutes apart according to Google Maps. That is driving all the way through Kenosha to the courthouse near the lake. This is just speculation but the close proximity to Kenosha means Kyle could consider that area part of his home town. Living in a rural area Kenosha is probably where everyone does their shopping and goes for entertainment. Not to different from my area. It’s about 25 minutes to the Movie Theater, about 35 to the mall, etc,… He could easily have friends there, and know property owners there. Or, he and others may have figured if something isn’t done the fires and destruction could spread to his home.

It’s quite easy to say that I will die protecting my own. The problem is that mentality places you alone against the mob. We have to be willing to protect each other or we will be run over. When firefighters are fighting wildfires they don’t camp out around structures and wait for the fire to come to them. They go to the fire and try to stop it from spreading.

So after looking at what we know now, YES! FREE Kyle Rittenhouse!

Mail in voting?

There are several problems with mail in voting.

As we just saw in NJ there is the fraud part. A judge has ordered a new election because of it. Unrequested ballots can and will be used for fraud. They will be sent to addresses where the registered voter has died, or moved, opening the door for someone else to turn in the ballot. We will see dishonest mail/ballot handlers destroying or misplacing ballots. This has happened in the past and there is no reason to expect a different outcome in today’s environment.

Let’s just for a second put on our rose colored glasses and pretend that fraud is not even a possibility. If the process is unflawed the people are not. Every year 10 to 20 percent of the mail in ballots are thrown out because of errors. Signatures don’t match, or some other problem with how the ballot is filled out cause it to be tossed.

Now, ask yourself, why the sudden push for mass mail in voting. Keep in mind that those pushing for this know the failings. They either want the fraud or they want to be able to say that millions of votes were tossed and people were disenfranchised. What would be the reason for this? To declare the election unjust, fraudulent, stolen, etc,…

The safest most secure method is in person, ID required with a paper ballot for audit purposes. We have and must always have a method for absentee voting for the ones who can not vote in person like the military.

We could very easily see ourselves in a shooting civil war the day after the election if we are not very careful. We are being set up to fail by the left.

Why Do We Want Dictators?

It seams like today everyone wants someone to FORCE someone else to do something or not do something.

Today it’s to wear a mask and social distance but what about tomorrow? Democratic Presidential candidate Biden said if he is elected he will mandate that everyone wear a mask. Really. First under what authority? The Federal Government, yes President wannabe that includes you, was not designed or intended to intervene in individuals lives. Those powers were left to the States (including the local governments) and the people them selves. Read the 10th Amendment.

It was reported that last Friday the Mayor of Columbus GA mandated that everyone in public (not in your home or car) must wear a mask or face a $50 fine. I ask again, under what authority? Did the City Council meet and pass temporary ordinance requiring this or did they pass one at some point in the past that relinquished their authority and gave dictatorial powers to someone. Emergency Powers are extremely dangerous and should be narrowly defined and time limited so they have to be reauthorized frequently. There is nothing going on today that justifies the continuing of these powers. Yes, cases continue to rise but it doesn’t take too many brain cells to understand that it is expected because we continue to test. The more you test the more you will find. What percentage of those require hospitalization. Very few.

Let’s just for the sake of argument say that all of this was right and justified. When we open the door and give power to the government to do something good today we have set a precedence for it to do something later that we don’t want. That is why the founders set up a system with divided powers and retained powers over the individual at the local level where the individual has the most influence and control.

If you are high risk or otherwise afraid. Throw away the flimsy little mask you are asked to wear and get a N-95 mask with a vent. It will protect you and it doesn’t matter if anyone else wears one or not.

STOP creating little dictators because YOU are not willing to take responsibility for yourself.

Kasich

I do believe that Kasich is probably a good man over all or maybe I’m just giving him more credit than he deserves.
“I’m a lifelong Republican” Maybe so, John but you have not been a Conservative or a Constitutional minded Republican. You have been a Big Government, “Nanny State” Republican who believes the state is responsible for every aspect of the individuals lives. Progressivism
Your roll now is to protect the “Deep State,” the status quo from any further damage. Trump has done nothing but upset the big government establishments boat. You and others are afraid that if he is reelected he will actually sink it, and turn us back towards our America First Constitutional roots.
You and others like to paint Trump as divisive. Show me what Trump has done that is divisive. He talks about illegals and he is labeled racist. He has done more to actually help the black community than any President in my memory. Minority Unemployment is down to historic levels. This has the potential to free the black community from the welfare state plantation. That is what many are really afraid of. The racist label has been thrown at Trump from day one but it won’t stick because the evidence isn’t there to support it. The very left leaning media has sold out to their ideology over journalism and lost all credibility with anyone who bothers to look at the facts.
If I would have been forced to chose between Clinton and Kasich in 2016 I would have probably stayed home or voted third party for only the second time in my life. Go away John. Just go away.

Unemployment Rate

Actually I want to talk about what I saw yesterday. I watched Kamillah Harris lie through her teeth and nobody found the guts to call her on it. At least from what I’ve seen. I know that this is just the beginning and I’m frustrated already. She said that Trump inherited the longest period of economic growth in history and Trump ran it into the ground. She is praying that people don’t remember the economic numbers just prior to the Corona Virus. They were strong with no real sign of letting up. The economy struggled to grow during the Obama administration but grow it did, a little. It crawled back in-spite of the job killing policies of the Obama administration. When Trump was elected the economy jumped on the knowledge that his policies would light a fire under the lagging economy. Light a fire he did. Massive record growth and falling unemployment numbers were the norm. All someone has to do is go look at the U-6 unemployment numbers. Not the propaganda that the government and media pushes. I believe that is the U-3 report. Those numbers are incomplete and reflect a better picture than is reality. They don’t reflect people who are in temporary low paying jobe because that is all that is available. It doesn’t reflect the job participation rate and those who either quit trying or who’s unemployment benefits have run out. The charts below U-3 and U-6 show that the virus shutdown caused the unemployment spike not Trumps management. They also show that the rate has already started to recover.

Its Been A While

I didn’t realize just how long it had been since I last wrote on here.

I ended up milking Olive once we got her mastitis cleared up. Over the last year she has had another bad case of mastitis. We thought we were going to lose her. She stopped eating and got lethargic. We called the on-call vet and he had us give her a heavy dose of antibiotics over a few days. That had her back to normal almost immediately but we still had to hit her with two treatments of “Today” to clear up the mastitis. Even then we thought she would lose her right front quarter. It was hard with a solid mass but with a lot of milking and working the udder she is 99% back to where she was. She is such a good milk cow. She is still giving us about a gallon of milk at each milking.

The winter and spring were relatively uneventful. Except for all the rain. I don’t know if it ever really stopped for more than a couple days. Maybe it was a good thing because we’ve had the best garden in years.

Made some changes this summer that were hard to do and then suffered some heartache. We sold Marla, her heifer calf and several others. Leaving us with Olive, Rosie, BobbyJo, and Violet(Rosies heifer), Mike. We also have two steers ready to go to the freezer, and one for next year. Rosie has a bad hip so she has been retired and is just a pet now. I don’t know if she could handle the bull or calving so she is just a pet for the rest of her life.

We traded five goats for a full grown KuneKune boar named Baccon. We didn’t need another boar but we did need to get rid of some goats. They had been causing me trouble jumping and pulling down fences. That and Waylon had some health issues and at the time I wasn’t certain that we wouldn’t lose him. So now we have three intact boars. Willie, the registered AGH; Waylon a year old red KuneKune; and Baccon is several years old and proven black and white KuneKune with wattles.

It’s been a rough summer. I’ll be glad to see a change in season. We’ve lost three dogs to old age or health issues. First was mom’s dog Bo. He was suffering from heart failure and had to be put down. Then we lost Brutus (BooBoo). I think it was his heart as well but don’t know for sure. He started acting off and had a heavy cough. We brought him inside for a few days and he seamed to improve a little. Then after letting him outside for a little while I found him dead under the front porch. The hardest loss was our Little Man Oliver. We’ve had him since he was only a few days old. He was blind and born with a cleft pallet. Lisa tube fed him for about four months until his mouth could be fixed. We almost lost him several times during that time. He was getting old but should have had several more years. Over the last couple of years He had developed severe allergies and none of the treatments were working anymore. He was miserable, losing most of his hair, skin infections, constant itching, etc,… His last day was a good one. We let him spend time outside, something he loved but hadn’t done in about two years. He had his favorite food and snacks, also something he had been denied because of a special diet trying to control his symptoms. He, BooBoo, and Bo are sleeping in the pet cemetery now, never to be forgotten.

Then, another gut punch… About a week ago BobbyJo wasn’t with the others when I went out to feed. The morning before she was pushing her way into the feed barn and getting in my way. This morning she was a no show. I figured she had a new calf and after feeding I went looking for them. Sadly I found her dead. Probably late the day before. No marks or signs of injury, nothing. I have no idea what killed her. She was not only our backup milk cow but my buddy. A BIG dog. She was Olives first calf here and while not bottle raised you wouldn’t know it because she was so friendly. She was always in my way looking for a hand out or an ear rub. I miss her every morning I go to feed.

On a positive note. Violet gave us a little heifer calf Wednesday (8/12/2020). I will most likely keep her if she is short like Violet and Rosie. I’ve named her Tulip.
